Genes Expressed in Spinal SFT
Genes are an important component in our study because the usage of these cis-regulatory elements may enhance or suppress their function. Using this property in therapeutics may yield a better prognosis in ovarian cancer patients.
Various genes concerned with Solitary Fibrous Tumours were identified and recorded in table form. NAB2-STAT 6 gene is the primary cause of this disease. NAB2 acts as a transcription activator or repressor for the EGR family of proteins. Studies have shown NAB2 negatively regulates EGR-1 dependent TGF- Beta signalling. NAB2 along with PUB1 modulate mRNA stability and control the mRNA turnover cytoplasm via strengthening the model coupled with nuclear events and controls of mRNA turnover. STAT6 is a signal transducer as well as an activator for transcription families of proteins. Together their fusion product will enhance transcription of the EGR-family of proteins. We have collected genes expressed in Spinal Solitary Fibrous Tumour via traditional text mining methods using Pubmed and Google Scholar. Apart, those genes I have used other SFT markers to perform further analysis using ENCODE. Other SFT markers may include CD34, ALDH1, EGR-family of proteins, MIB-1, and TFE3.
